Pack Monday Fair is coming to Sherborne on Monday 12th October. A huge annual fair that fills the town centre with market stalls. The latest number from the organisers is over 300 stalls. We'll be at the bottom of Cheap Street, near Lloyds Bank, as we were last year. Trading is officially from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm. We lucky stallholders can set up from 5.00 am on the day (we can even set up the previous day). Apart from the broad and exciting range of stalls, parking in the council car parks is free all day. If you do come, you will be one of 30,000 expected visitors.
To ensure we are totally knackered by the time we get home on Monday night, we have events in advance of Pack Monday. Wednesday 7th is Dorchester Market. On Friday and Saturday (9th, 10th) we are in Shaftesbury Town Hall. On Sunday 11th we are at Frome Craft and Flea Market - between Frome and Maiden Bradley, on the same farm as the annual Frome Cheese Fair. Pack Monday, 12th October. Then Dorchester Market on Wednesday 14th.

Time for a quick thank you to Aunt Margaret, who has supplied us with a load of fresh rhubarb and runner beans from her garden. A busy couple of days cooking them up into Rhubarb Jam, Rhubarb & Ginger Jam, and Runner Bean Chutney. So for all those who moan that they cannot get Rhubarb jam without Ginger, we are your salvation.
