Overall, we have to say this has been a good but busy month, and the weather has been good. After being headhunted at Dorchester Artisan Market, we've settled into our regular Wednesday stint at Dorchester's weekly market. After a couple of quiet weeks, we've become regulars in the eyes of locals, who are much more willing to approach us, chat, and buy our goods. It is rewarding to see buyers come back for more the next week and to keep the conversations going.
On the pitch next to us, Chris is selling oysters. He started a week after we did. Had my first oyster ever. It wasn't at all unpleasant. I had imagined it would be and treated eating one almost like a personal dare. Nothing wrong with the texture. They are just not to my taste.
It's amazing to see how many people are excited to be able to buy oysters. Mind you, some people cannot understand why others get so enthusiastic over our pickled eggs.
