I didn’t expect much of a rest after Christmas as I knew I had chutneys, jams, eggs and shallots to do before the events that we have signed up to start (end of March). 

We delivered shallots to Pritchetts Butchers in Salisbury a couple of weeks ago and will be delivering pickled eggs there on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the one exception we had made to our intended late March start of events was to Winterbourne Stickland.  We are due there on 7^th February – an indoor event.  But that is now in doubt.  We were contacted by Robert, the organiser, who told us that while the venue itself has not been affected by the excess rain, the roads around are still under water.  A decision as to whether the event will go ahead will be made on Wednesday.

We hope the event does go ahead.  We were at their first one last year.  It was a very welcoming day.  It was well organised in a lovely hall and well supported by the locals who were just charming.
